This type of bayonet was used by soldiers and militia in the 18th century. It is made to fit a .75 caliber Brown Bess musket. Well crafted dual purpose knife with handle of brass and rosewood. Nearly 18 inches overall with double edge blade 1-1/2" at the base. Includes a heavy black leather sheath with brass stud for mounting in a frog.  Imported from India
